They are supposed to be good mate but havent tried them myself.
All performance clutches put a bit more strain on the rest of the drivetrain from reduced slippage on take off but bite better under high power or load. Go for it! I checked the vw parts list for the following info (you need to know your engine code from the VIN):
Standard clutches:
2.0 8v 2E (upto 2E306243) Sachs 3000.381.001 210mm 28 spline £69.50
2.0 8v 2E (from 2E306244) Sachs 3000.605.001 210mm 28 spline £81.69
2.0 8v ADY,AEP,AGG,AKR Sachs 3000.605.001 210mm 28 spline £81.69
2.0 16v (1992-1994) Sachs 3000.210.001 228mm 28 spline £87.95
2.0 16v (1995-1998) Sachs 3000.332.001 228mm 28 spline £84.82
2.8 VR6 Sachs 3000.384.001 228mm 28 spline £74.75
If you have an 8v engine you need the 210 clutch. The 228 wont fit without the 16v flywheel and the bellhousing may foul too. Even the kits are different for each code as you can see above
