Got them fitted on an 8v and they are well impressive, especially in the wet. I do know someone who has them on a 16v and he swears by them, and they are also fitted to performance tuner AMDs oil burning 180+bhp GOlf that was at the VW Driver day at Castle Combe Circuit. Depends how much you want to spend really as they are not badly priced for a performance tyre. i paid about ?60 a corner for mine fitted, but I know www.mytyres.net do them cheaper but then you have to get them fitted somewhere.

I've got them on my 16v. They are great. Also purchased from mytyres.net. There is a list of fitters on the website. I got mine fitted in Cheltenham for ?8 per corner. Total cost was around ?106 for 2 fronts. The next cheapest I could find was around ?135. Great value!

Also are these 205/50 R15's on your car or the 195's?

Mine are 205/50/15. Its hard to tell about the wear at the moment because the fronts are almost new and the rears have only done about 4000 miles.

As for wet weather handling, they are alot better than the Uniroyal Rainsports which were on it before. Taking into account the price, I don't think there are many better alternatives.

Wannabe024, where in Cheltenham did you ge them fitted. Last time I had to order the Toyos from Ski Tyres (Cheltenham) and it cost me ?125 for two. Be worth knowing as next time I can get them from mytres and save a few quid!!
