dizzie and s11eps, I agree with what you're sayin entirely and mkI makes a very valid point, most coppers in an average day will make say two arrests and spend the rest of the day doing the paperwork for the two arrests they've made. That was something said by a WPC on radio 2 (I know, radio 2 but I am an old f****r) a couple of weeks ago while in a discussion about something else. However if they pull over your typical GTi driver over they know that the driver won't be doing anything wrong but it's an easy bit of form filling and no follow up paperwork.

If anyone else wants to make some more valid points about the whole insurance (display on windscreen?), tax and MOT issue, then keep it coming and maybe we should forward this thread to all our local politicians? Thoughts?

By the way,sorry I've not been around for while but I've been moving house and redecorating-did anyone miss me? ( please I hope someone did- sad f****r eh!!).

They have introduced a new MOT sticker now that is blue. (matches my car) ;D

so this time next year, if you dont have MOT then you dont get a MOT sticker which means you have no MOT.

Like i've said b4.know sum1 who was driving without insurance,got banned(been driving less than 2yrs) n a ?200 fine but if that person had killed sum1,like vixter said?Its all wrong n i for 1 am sick of the government havin a go at us proper drivers who take with our cars n driving! >:(Its always us who get penalised n its not on!
This is soo 1 of them threads what cud get me hot under the collar!I'm done now! ;D

Dinky, be smart and don't get angry over this sort of thing, make you're opinion known in a sensible way and let your mind think about more serious issues in your life-like what mode you're going to do to your car next!!

they have got special sensors that read number plates in police cars (mainly in police ford galaxy's). anyway...these devices check for insurance, tax, mot etc etc blah blah ::)
