I paid £200 for the winter pack, in conjunction with Xennons, headlight washers and leather seats.

Which when I think about it, is £200 for a low fluid washer level light

Dave

Don't forget the heated windscreen washers too!  I thought about this option too, but £205 for heated washers and a warning light was a bit steep IMO.  My current MkIV has a lower washer warning light and that was standard.  Seems VW will try and get any extra money they can.

Does anyone have a link to the prices that were in effect before the changes? Ordered mine and paid a deposit in November, but dealer has been a little reluctant to give a final price in recent calls. Don't really expect that he's trying to shaft me, but would like to go in armed with an idea in my head of what it should be.

Out of interest, I'm assuming that having paid a deposit last November I'm price protected? Nothing was said about it, but I'm assuming so. Legally I;m sure it should, but price changes may be incorporated into the contract to over ride this.

I'd strongly advise you to ask to see a copy of the old prices and compare them to the invoice - esp if you have many options - check the invoice CAREFULLY - mine was full of mistakes.  Some of the old prices are given below:

Hi Phil,

Seems I came across the very same problem just the other week when I demoÂ’ed a new GTI with parking sensors.  After a bit of luck more than judgment, I discovered that if you turn the joystick on the armrest to the Left position when about to select reverse, or even when in reverse, the mirror will auto adjust to look down at the curb.  When you've finished the manoeuvre, just switch it back to the neutral centre position and the mirror returns to normal.  Hope this works for you.

Just read what I wrote and to clear up some possible ambiguity, its the door mirror joystick on the drivers door panel that you need to toggle.  :embarassed:

I noticed this feature in the brouchure after I collected my pre speced car.  When the car was in having the alarm senors turned down at the stealer, I asked if I could have this feature activated.  They claimed they couldnt find it in my midline computer, so I left it.

I'm pretty sure it was only added as an option around the time they introduced the ipod kit.
