Plastic Wheel Arch Trims
« on: 25 February 2007, 17:06 »
Anybody taken theirs off?
Anyone know how to do it?

Had a look at mine and there appears to be some flat soft metal rivet things on the underside. Had a go at prising one out and it didnt appear easy so left it and am now asking!

Aha! I was wondering if that was the way to do it!

Thanks Carl.

len u goin for the no arches look? Ive been thinking about doing this too.

Mine's tornado red and I think the arches make the wheels look smaller and only look right on a black car, although they typify the gti. Im considering debadging and de-trimming too but not decided.

Yea along with the body kit I am taking off the arch trims and fitting the thinner door mouldings.

See my project page.
