VR6 Turbo - DAMN!
« on: 23 February 2007, 22:36 »
I got taken for a spool by a mk2 gti tonight but i gave it a good run on its tail all the way till the two lanes turned into one. He thought he was a hustler not taking the bite when i booted it up the hill, then he overtook me going thru a roundabout and boxed me behind a nissan micra. I floored it and stayed with him but couldnt get closer, not much in it tho. (ive a mk3 - the best looking golf EVER.)

Thats it. Im having a VR6 this summer and getting a supercharger kit hehehe

Check out this monster VR6 Turbo kicking ass on porsche 911 turbos, Scooby WRX's (altho the scoob had him in the twisties, and a LAMBORGHINI MURCELAGO!!!! - it gets its ass truly whooped by the monster hulk VR6 - 580BHP!!!!!!!!!

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Watch this and then tell me it isnt feckin fast as fook!!!

you got to remeber though, i bet that engine has had a lot thrown at it, and the body has been stripped of everything heavy, and to make it as light as that and as race as that you've got ot upgrade the gearbox and almost all the running gear, i'm afraid it aint as simple as dumping in a supercharged VR6

jeez i know im not gonna see 580bhp (even a fully loaded motor would fly wi that power) but a VR6 is gonna be a whole lot faster than my 8v gti lol

IM HAVIN ONE! (Ive already got the wife convinced and my insurance quote is £290 Fully Comp hehehe)

Do it fella - feel the power  vr6 and a turbo is a pretty cheap route to crazy power.

Thing that always gets me with these comparisons and this isn't a pop at you, is that you have to remember what you started with. I mean come on, a 911 Turbo? Spank your mk3 into last week! Not enough Porkie power? Up the boost, bit of the old ecu tuning etc etc visit Gemballa or similar for your 750 upgrade...

I know. The cars are obviously run-what-ya-brungs and that golf has had serious tuning but its bloody quick and if you watched it all he didnt get passed by anyone!

I just think the VR6 is the ultimate MK3 with huge potential for a nice motor that can pootle around but whips ass if required. I gotta have one

And the sound of that V6 - mmmmmmmmmmmm

£290 that's just not fair  :undecided:

How old are you if you dont mind my asking and how many years no claims do you have??

When you get a VR6 you have to strip the mk3 of all heavy parts that you dont need, everything makes a difference
