Has any body tried that multicar cover from the likes of admiral and do they think its worth it?
im comtemplating insurancing both golfs (if i get the diesel) even though i'll only be using the cab for about six months of the year..
and how long do you have to declare your accidents for? is there a cut off period like when you get points?
Also..how long can an accident claim actually last for? is there a time limit on that?
I know the majority of these will need to be answered by the likes of martin but would appreciate comments/thoughts from those of you who have and run more than one car..
Dinx
tut tut Di, we do have an insurance section now ya know......

tbh i have not ever dealt with the admiral multi car policies so have not got any personal experience of what the cover is like. I
think its highly unlikely that the level of cover would be the same as on a specialist policy with regard to mods and agreed value etc which is why the specialist policies cost more.
When declaring claims it varies with companies, we are a broker and some of the companies we use ask for 3yrs, some 5 so we always ask for last 5years. Always declare everything to be on the safe side as most systems will automatically ignore anything that is too old now.
How long can a claim last for? How long is a peice of string? Again i dont really have much experience with handling claims but have heard of cases dragging on for many months. As far as im aware there is not a time limit but will try and find out from my boss when he is back in on monday.
Hope that helps a bit and feel free to ask away

Anyone with any experience of Admiral multi car i would be interested, hmmm i feel a bit of mystery shopping coming on!!
