Bigger wheels/lowering suspension
« on: 26 January 2004, 14:28 »
Yes peeps,
Few questions (for a change!)
Eventually, I want to get some 17's on my 8v and drop it about 40-45mm but I cant afford to do both at the same time. What happens if I get the 17's first and stick em on without lowering the car? Or alternatively, what happens if I lower it without putting bigger wheels on?
What better time than now, what better place than here?

I personally have the 17" wheels on mine without the suspension lowered and it looks great! Always thought those 15/16" wheels were small for the Vw Golf Mk3 ??? The 17's do look better! :) Dont think I'll bother with lowering - happy with it as it is now! ;D

What make and size of tyre do u run on your 17's, wolfrace?  Cos i also want to go for bigger wheels without lowering the car.
I was thinking of either BBS RC's or superleggras, any opinions are much appreciated.
