RE: Another GTI virgin, Thought I'd give you an update to show how I'm getting on as a new golf owner.

I've had the car now for two weeks and have carried out the bulk of the work I need to do to mint the car up, my plans are to keep the car as original as i can, originaly purchased for 1500, I estimate the total spend once all work done at around 2k.

Jobs done so far:

Part of o/s skirt replaced, part of center consol replaced along with rear seat belt clips and orignal gear knob.
Door pins changed for wolfsburg edition.
Both front fog lights and tow ring cover replaced.
Timing belt, oil and filter changed.
Full valet including shampooing the interior.

Jobs left:

Stone chips touch up and a couple of small area of surface rust around doors
Windscreen replacement (Insurance blag)
Interior light dosen't go off when doors shut.

ROCK ON!

I drive, therefore i am!
