I was surprised to find out from my Handbook last night that I should be using 98 RON petrol in my MkII 8v. I have been using 95 RON up to now. Is there really that much difference? Has anybody tried both to find out?

digi's will run on most things but i use super (97) optimax (98) and tesco's super (99)... it loves the 99 ron and you can definately tell the difference. it 'feels' faster, but i doubt it makes too much difference.
