Fixed cost servicing plans

Hey guys

Local VW dealer has popped some info in the post for my upcoming Edition 30

It's a VW fixed cost servicing plan, covering all servicing and maintenance
Includes lubrication services, inspection services, plus wear and tear stuff like clutches, brake materials, batteries, etc etc - really quite comprehensive

£10.85 per month (but excludes tyres at this price) - you can include tyres, but I'd rather have the control over tyre choice personally

Sounds quite reasonable when you consider that is £130 p/a, and a single longlife service alone is more than that, and that you'd have wear and tear stuff on top of the service costs normally

Anyone got one of these plans at the moment? Is it worth it?

or any one else have comments? :)

Is this quote for the Longlife Service (2 years/20k miles) or the Time/Distance (annual) option ?

can be for either...it's a 36 month servicing contract for all inclusive servicing

I have been offered this service plan also (3 years) it is the service and maintenance plan you are talking about, but i am slightly miffed that my dealer has told me it is £20.86 a month. Just wondered how much everyone else has been offered it for ? and why the big difference between dealers :angry:
Chatty if you are reading this it would seem the V***** group have struck again not only taking huge deposits for cars but ripping us off for things like this.

10,000 per year estimate, would not think that would make it nearly double the price

I have had a fixed cost service plan and it is decided by model and mileage. This is set by VW not the stealers.

Cass what car have you got?  I'm assuming it must be an R32 if the Edition 3o is costing £10 - its still doesn't make sense. 

Smug, did you actually see a chart with prices at the dealers or id they just tell you that the price is fixed by VW?
