why does my alternator belt squeal when its wet?
sorry im no mechanic!!!!

Is the belt tight enough? try turning the belt round with finger and thumb pressure on the longest run of the belt, you should be able to turn it 90 degrees but no more.

hi, been to check mine out and its a bit slack and squeeling a lot at the moment. will this affect the cars performance at all?

for how much they cost get a new one but you can tighten the one on until you get a new one
