Ok, guys...couldnt find much in the search option so.....

Gonna keep it on the standard 18'' rims / tyres

Would I be safe to lower with the eibach spring kit - 35mm one ?

Theres no way I wanna go through the rubbing on arches I had with my Mark 3 and my Corrado !

For me I would then be happy with the car looks wise....as I do think the ED30's ride a touch high

Hi, I know this was posted a while back but can any one else comment on this.

I to think the ride hight is a tad to high and was thinking this lowering kit may look great!

Do you think it will be ok or to low? where can you get eibach's from?

I think with -35mm you would loose the stock look and be in danger of the chav wagon look.
Where-as -20mm would be the very compromise - however i'm buggered if i can find any thing like that on the market!

Wrote to Ebaich and got the following info....

"For the Golf mk 5 we offer two kits. The first kit we offer is called the Pro-Kit and this will lower the car by 10-15mm front and rear and they are uprated on the standard springs by 25%.
 
The second kit we offer is the Sportline kit. This kit will lower the car 30-35mm front and rear and are also 25% uprated on standard springs"

Anyone have any idea if 25% is too much for 'b' road?

I think the first kit would be best for my needs as it would be very subtle, I think i will give that guy a call tomorrow and get a price of him!

Well found the right level of lowering - anybody tried KW equipment?

Don't know, thats the problem... the only thing i know is what i have written in my other thread and that KW suspension is used by BBT Motorsport for their VW Cup cars.
