mk3 gti 16v or vr6

my 8v gti is £240 fully comp wi 2 years ncb and i got a quote from confused.com for a VR6 for £290 fully comp. Im definately havin one this year. Eyeball-suckin grunt from idle!  I had a shot o a mates stage 3 tuned VR6 and damn! It sucks you back into the seats!

I really get off on acceleration tho - its such a rush. I miss my scooby turbo but its only 40bhp more than a 95 VR6 and it did 19mpg and was group 19 insurance (£750 to me!)  - im 41 btw 

Get a VR6!!!!!!!!!!!!

right i went to see the car today had a little go and it was amazing but its a 5dr ive got a 3dr mk316v at the moment the vr6 has 157 on the clock my golfs got 116 on the clock but i know that my suspension would fit insurance is costing me £750 third party fire and theft with 2 years no claims. the vr6 is on a k reg so thats a 92 right. the body work aint to bad but i think it needs a little paint work and brakes all round, he wants £1000 do you think its a steal or not ? let me know what you think
