Here's one to look for:-

March edition of Volkswagen Driver should have the full roadtest of the Edition 30 (said so in Feb 07 edition).
This should be good as it always has performance test data like 0-60 and in gear accelleration(actuals and not just the factory quotes) and should put the comparisons up with other like vw cars.

The only thing I don't know is which version they will test...manual or DSG

It's available by subscription here: http://www.volkswagendriver.co.uk/, or you can "borrow" a copy from your friendly neighbourhood VW dealer when the sales staff aren't looking.

I think it's an independent publication, but with strong links to VW-Audi. It's good for reviews on tuning and mods.

I've always bought mine from WHSmith's

Just looked in February's magazine and the March edition is due out on the 21st Feb

I have about a dozen of these mags and all the reviews and test drives I have looked at were around 4 pages long plus a page of stats.

February's edition also had a good review on the Superchips bluefin Golf GTI.... albeit without any performance times. (mentioned Superchips S3 roadtest at 306bhp!!!)

Its a fantastic magazine but VERY hard to get hold of - I subscribe.  I've looked into newsagents and WHSmiths in Ipswich, Cardiff, Newport, Birmingham, Norwich and Northampton and only ever found it stocked in the main WHSmith in Birmingham city centre - contrast that to Audi Driver Magazine which is a sister publication and is EVERYWHERE?!!   :undecided:
Mk1 GTI Campaign, Mk5 GTI Edition 30, Mk6 GTI (Coming Soon...)

Just a thought (que the jokes!) - maybe the reason Audi Driver is everwhere and Volkswagen Driver is v.hard to find - there are no other magazines dedicated to Audi, but there are a handful of differnent mags to cater for VWs??  :nerd:
