Stiff Gear Change

I can't figure out why my gear change feels very stiff! Although it improves a little after a run it still isn't as loose as I have experienced in other cars. I do have the pain to get into first problem - normal I know and I have changed the G/Box oil.

Is there something I can adjust / Is anyone else suffering with this problem?

It's urban right? That means it must be tougher, obviously.... ;-)

try putting the box in first (engine off) and remove the knob and gaiter, push the stick left in 1st gear position and if more than 1.5mm of play, unlock the collar at the bottom of the shift and rotate till correct then lock the collar again  :cool:

Thanks for that Scottsman, are there any parts that are likely to need replacing though?
