mk 3 vr6 whats it worth?

been offered a m reg vr6 bit  tatty no mot needs about £600 quid spent on it for the mot whats a realistic price for it? any help or views would be appreciated cheeers trev :wink:

Main thing is does it need the chains done. That alone would cost more than the car to have done...
