its the fumes that are dangerous, setting fire to a bucket of petrol isn't easy, but a garage full of fumes is a different matter ;)

Yes of course - I was just a little concerned that some numpty might try balancing a container of petrol or spirit somewhere in the engine compartment with a live ignition!
I have heard of people doing even dafter things!

lol i know i heard it from somewhere. I found a vw breakers just of the m4 junction 18 got that soaking why will my car run fine with out the isv plugged in its no lumpy or anything

its probably been adjusted to run without, by setting the idle a bit higher to make up for the lack of ISV.
