« on: 05 February 2007, 10:19 »
Hi, here are my two gti's the full car is 8v part car is 16v
did the 16v come with those wheels or the ones on the 8v?
also 16v has smoked rear lenses are they original like vr6?
I'm letting the 8v go but will swap pthese parts over if I need to.

You dont say what year these cars are.

But as a general rule the 16v have the wheels shown on the top car.
No smoked rear lens are not standard.

Oh and I'm not an expert, just going on what my car had originally.

Right, here goes, think this is right...

Smoked rear lights were standard on all gti's

The wheels on the first car were fitted to 8 & 16v's after a ceratin year (around M reg i think)

Before that, 8v's had a different wheel again (not sure what they are)

16v's before that had the wheels on the 2nd picture.

So basically i'd stick the 5 spoke wheels on the 16v and the long beach wheels (9spoke) on the 8v.

Hope that helps
