cams and a ported and polished head should free up some more ponies.
you could also add a 2.0 bottom end to that too for more torque

Could also try a chip for around 20 quid on ebay, if you have a digifant engine that is! I'm not sure if they add any more power?

I had a Gstar chip Neaty from Gd dubworld or what ever it is thats advertised on the forum. That got rid of my digi lag in my old mk2 and i think it was meant to help fueling as well but not sure :undecided: But it did feel a bit better at the top end of the rev range....

Right Markymark0 first of all mate befor you do any thing give it a damed good service mate plugs, leads, oil etc. So then start with the basics you have the exhaust so then its either an induction kit or drilled box with a k&n in it then you can move on to as other people have said cams get you head sorted (port & polish) differant bottom end, lightened and balanced fly wheel, carbs ( 45s ) the list is endless and it depends how big your wallet is the easyest bet is IMO to either fit a different engine ( VR6 ) or swap your car for a faster one or you could just buy a turbo the size of a dustbin lid or as Ive just seen one from  layland daf lorry and strap that to it .

Spend your money on a better engine :)

What build year is your car? If it is one of the later Digifant cars then an ABF or G60 conversion would be plug'n'play and will probably cost less than trying to build a fast 8v.

lol thanks for your suggestions, my car is an digifant 1989 m2 8v
so do u think that a conversion is easy with this model? Thing is i do like the engine, and not sure which is easier a new engine or modification like the cams and webers atc

p.s. whats an ABF engine ?

If your hazard light switch is on your steering column then conversions are a bit easier.

A 2.0 bottom end can come from a Mk3 / Passat or Some Audis.
Nothing else needed, although you may need to change the dizzy.

An ABF engine is a 2.0 16v from a Mk3 Golf GTI and some other Cars like Seat etc.

... it's turned into a fashion show for poofters.
