Yeah car caught on fire whilst my wife and baby girl were driving on a dual carriageway, quite a frightening experience, anyway car got taken to vw dealer and the people from vw uk inspected car and took away coil pack, haven't said that was cause but thats the only thing they took and sent it to Germany for analysing and then had a phone call to say they admit fault!! absolutely gutted.
however they say every cloud has a silver lining well ours was a red cloud with an ed 30 sticker!!

well all i can say is we had a 2005 gti with nearly 20,000 miles and now we have an ed 30, brand new, which cost us an extra 500.00 which should really have been about 8,000.00 as a part ex so all in iall m pleased with the outcome.
