...Or is it??
Just read some disturbing info on the 'Preloved' Website for MK 3 reviews. Lots of people SLATE them! Preferring the MK 2.
What do MK2/3 Owners have to say? & which is better, 8v or 16v?
Andy.

Obviously depends what u drive, MK2 I hear has the better driving experience GTI wise, but I reckon it has a bob interior (the dash is crap), but if u own a VR6 MK3 u whip the MK2 hands down on all counts, no contest.

i have had my 95 mk3 16valver for 4 months now and its no slouch i can tell u, i know it may not be as fast as a mk2 16valver but the choice on whether to go for the mk2 or mk3 in my opinion depends on how comgy u want the interior to be.

I love my mk3 8v... perfectly suitable for a 19yr old.

Mk2's are a tad old skool. Only hardened Golf enthusiasts give you any form of acknowledgement when seen in one.
To the average layman, showing up in an mk2 wouldnt earn you a crust of cudos.
No doubt, I like the driving experience of an mk2, but far prefer the styling of the mk3.
