Does the Mk1 Golf window winder mechanism fit the Mk1 Scrirocco?

 A mates electric windows in his scirocco have packed up and he wants to replace them with manual winders.

Having a look in one of my old manuals, these are different, but to make a golf one fit you need to do a little work in the door to bolt the set-up in. Why don't you search for parts on vwvortex as there is load of scirroco popping up on there, plus its cheaper to get parts in the USA with the exchange rate and postage won't be that bad.
