Great pics Illyun, and looks like a great trip.  I'm thinking if doing a small scale UK road trip for my hols this year.

A Euro road trip looks like a lot of fun though.  However, think I need DSG for that - maybe next year.

Turin, Italy
24th December

Outside the local stealers in Turin - wife was bemused ...

This is called the Monte del Cappuchini and is a big big hill in Turin with lots of scary sheer drops - without a fence - on the drive up to the top.  The first picture is halfway up and you can see the Alps in the distance.  The second is a view from the top looking over Turin again with the Alps in the background.  The last is around 6:30pm just before I set off back down the hill.  Left Turin at 8:30pm and arrived Barcelona, Spain driving across France via Lyon and Montpellier in 6 hours  .

Barcelona, Spain
25th December

Didn't really plan to look around as I had a gruelling 12 hours drive to Gibraltar down the East coast of Spain - which took 13 hours eventually becuase I almost ran out of petrol in some very dodgy looking area in South Spain and had to drive 40mph trying to conserve the last drops... quite embaressing as all these other motorists that I had blasted past at 130+ an hour before drove past - and probably muttered w8nker in Spanish or French or whatever :embarassed:

Barcelona Christmas Day!!!

On the Seafront

Christmas Day Swim on the Beach...

Some dodgy fuel pump just outside Barcelona on my way to Gibraltar.  Just after this photo, I got pulled by two plainclothes police officers asking me to pull up behind them... I didn't do that but drove up beside them and stopped, wondering what they wanted as their car was about 15 years old and they weren't in uniform - a bit suspicious...  Some grotty looking Spainard pulled out a police badge that looked like he'd bought it from Toys R Us and asked me for passports.  I asked on what grounds they had stopped me and he told me that they were looking for some terrorists - I'm muslim so he thought he'd play that card.. must have an IQ of 5 or something.  The only terrorist I had was my 2 year old sitting in the back sucking her thumb     Basically, I told him to copulate with himself and drove off - I figured that if they were police - highly unlikely - I'd be stopped further down the road anyway - but if they weren't I'd got my family out of a potentially very dangerous situation.  'WELCOME TO SPAIN' I thought to myself.   Needless to say, they didn't even try to come after the R32

1:00am Got to Gibraltar - felt like home and a breath of fresh air after the last few days... even though the Spanish had tried to put roadblocks on the roundabout exit to Gibraltar.  We've been there for 300 years plus but they still don't seem to understand

Amazing photos. You should put them all on a thread of their own, just as a gallery.

Try this thread for a bit of fun

Tangiers-Rabat, Morocco
26th December

Ferry from Tarifa, Spain to Tangiers, Morocco early in the morning of the 26th...

One of many dubs that I saw in Rabat... I didn't want to get too happy-snappy with the camera so missed a lot of Mk1 and Mk2 Diesels...
