2L 16V ABF is the best mk3 lump. It is tough, easy to mod and loves to be revved!
Dont bother with a nose-heavy VR6 imo.

***runs like hell***

Throw a 20vT from a Mk4 in it
Virtually everything I know about the workings of the internal combustion engine can be written on the back of a small stamp with a large marker

A r32 lump went on ebay the other day for £2000. How hard would it be to fit?! You need looms and all that but what about a gearbox?

i should imagine it would be a nightmare and a wallet buster.

225bhp 1.8T would be best i reckon .
