People keep flashing me!

Can anyone help?

At night I keep getting flashed. Obviously they think I have my full beam on, and I'm sick of flashing back saying, "No I don't! See!".
Anyway, is there an easy way to check/adjust the alignment of my head lights? I bought the car private and I'm assuming the the lamps are of the correct spec.

The only 100% sure way of getting the height and alignment checked is to take it to a garage where they can do it all properly.

I have had a look and could only see a dial for dash board brightness.
You sure there is one?

Not sure. I don't know much about Golf's, any car for that matter. Is a RHD like a accessory kind of light? As far as I can tell they are standard, or are you refering to the lamp itself?

RHD= Right Hand Drive...i.e. are you headlights the correct fitment for your vehicle? where they on the car when you bruaght it?

If you have the control for headlight height adjustment it will be located alongside the switch for adjusting instrument brightness - looks the same, a wheel that turns.

Have you got foglights or full beam on all the time?

Best thing, put in front of a brick wall, lights on, at night and you will be able to tell if they are aiming too high, then just adjust appropriately.
