Ive noticed my accelerator on my 1.8 SE becoming stiffer and stiffer to press down recently. Took it out one cold morning and it was revving itself, even with the pedal right the way out. Came up to a corner quite quickly expecting to use a bit of engine braking and it revved itself stupid, so i had no alternative but to put it into neutral for the corner whilst it revved the arse off itself! I ended up turning it off and turning it on again and it seemed to have sorted itself. Any one had this problem before or heard of it? Accelerator cable im presuming but it has only been a problem in cold weather?
