Clutch cable gone TWANG!

Hi all,

Clutch cable went last night, luckily I had a spare, unluckily the bracket that links the cable to the clutch disapearred.

Have had a look under the bonnet and am happy with where the cable goes into the interior but can't spot where the cable is held in place.

Please advise.

Whoops, missed out the "NOT" before loose,

Basically, i've got to replace the entire cable, have had to wait for the bracket which attaches the cable to the clutch. 

This has now turned up, so advise on how to feed it through to the pedal would be much appreciated.

erm, the MK3 16v doesnt have a clutch cable, its hydralic!

I think you mean this?



17/18 go on the gearbox, where the cable threads through, and the top part of 45 sits in the clutch lever, and the bottom 2 bits are the bits that hold the cable to the lever :)
