I have a left hooker Golf GTi convertible. It is 1984 US model
I want to remove the CAT. Will this help performance? Is the de-cat expensive? Is it a simple job for the garage to do?

A thru pipe is about 80 quid last time i looked (which is a long time ago), fairly easy to do, and will increase power.
