Whats a Ryder?
« on: 25 January 2007, 14:20 »
I've found a really good offer on a MK2 1.6 "ryder" but I'm not sure what the difference is between that n a driver?
I heard it's just what took over from the 1.3 but I just wanted to be sure...

  • If in doubt, pay someone else to do it!

think its just a trim/spec thing. Would have come with a certain type interior, bumpers etc. I cant tell you exactly what but thats all it will be.

thats the best mk3 ive seen..ever! its just clean and subtle..

How much would it cost to put power steering on it? and would that effect insurance much?

wont effect insurance. and its not a massive job but you need to be competant. the hardest bit is finding the parts second hand.  i like my golfs without power steering persnally as i like the heavy feel at high speeds

Yea, I just phoned a garage and they said it would cost 1200 for the parts alone lol, what models of the mk2 have power steering then? Just so I know what to keep my eye open for
