black trim bits on gti

i have a mk3 golf gti and cant get black trim bits looking good i use bumper care by auto glym but dont find it brillant any 1 use anything else thats sh!t hot

This has been discussed elsewhere on the site, think I last found something on it in the mk2 section... try a hairdryer or a heat gun (gently) on it. I've not tried it myself, but I'm going to give it a go when the weather improves...

back to black works ok, spray it on a cloth, then just wipe it on and bobs ya uncle!

I use Autoglym bumper gel and think thats very good, the key is to make sure that whatever your putting it on is very clean before you apply it and I use a sponge and go over everything twice then buff off with a clean cloth.

use turtle wax tyre gel, its awesome and lasts quite a while too. it also smells GORGEOUS!!!

have to agree with the turtle wax stuff,ive got there black in a flash and that works a treat! heard autoglym tyre stuff works well too!  :wink:

I think its a case of trying different things and seeing what you get on with and gives the results your after

i used black flash but it doesnt last

so i sprayed the black parts with matt black primer
