so, with the bodywork all happenin soon, iv noticed iv got some spare change left over........... peeps know i want a G60 engine. but, is it possible to just supercharge my wanky current engine? its one of those 2.0 8v jobbies, if the g60 is a 1.8 8v. surely id be in better steed to charge the 2.0???

oh an if anyone knows, what the f**k would it cost?


or, f**k it, get rid cab an get a VR6, got the need for a big engine again. i hate acting like i dont care when i get rinsed by some mug drivin a company beemer. it engrages me

supercharging your 8v will cost more than buying a g60 lump... or a vr6 one at that matter. a vr6 would be the easiest conversion as you could get everything you needed from a breaker mk3 vr6.

I would wait for a 1H lump or a PG lump like what the guys are saying the conversions cost over £1,000 reasons the compression cycles and the crank pulley mods needed are made to measure. There are afew guys doing the 20vT conversion on there Rallyes and G60's the engines would be much easier to source than the bits your gonna need to convert!
The Vr6 lumps are going up in price due to the demand. The VR6 cars are steadly comming down in price, but usually have high millers on them. 
By the way RJ a recon G60 charger costs £600 a new one £1200 or abouts depends who you know!
I would get a VR6 lump then get yourself a EatonM62 charger to it then watch the company boys cry!

Its going to be more after the all in sh!t bit mate, but I'm down south where thames water costs 2.00 a bottle LOL!

Does that inclcude the G60 mate?

You have four choices on the G60
Rallye 1H 8V
Syncro 1H 8V
Corrado PG 16V
G60 limited unlikely but who knows? PG 16v

VR6
Corrado
MKIII
Pg is better of the two but I like 1H's due to lighter and quicker low end torque.
Differences are top end speed I think!
EDIT I think the old passats have VR6's aswell not sure?
By the way you running a 4X4 tranny aswell?
