Reliable VW garage/mechanic
« on: 21 January 2004, 15:05 »
Yes people,
Does anyone know of a good, reliable VW specialist in the east mids, preferably in Nottm/Derby area?
What better time than now, what better place than here?

Eh? Am I the only GTI owner in the East Mids who uses this forum? Surely not!

Bang on mate, this place is about 10 mins walk from my workplace! Gave em a ring and booked in for a service next week. They've quoted me a price of ?165 for a full service. Does this seem about right?

Weird! it only posted half my last message! it should read.....They have quoted me a price of ?165 for a full service. Does this sound about right? Brought a tear to my eye when he told me but if this price sounds ball-park then I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and part with yet more of my hard-earned!

It all depends on what they are going to do . I think VW charge about ?200 for a full service.

The people that own it are well known and give advice in VWM Motoring Magazine .

Oh to be back in Nottingham  :'(

Yeah, I've checked their website and I know you should never trust websites too much, but they seem to know what they're on with. I take it you've had, or know someone whose had work done there and been happy with it?
And yes I have to agree with your last comment, Nottingham's a great place to be!
