if it has a basic spec, then id personally pay no more than £1300 for it... but it all depends on how its been looked after, if it is an absolute minter then maybe £1500!

i bought a 96 N plate 3dr 2.0 8v in dragon green with exactly 100K on the clock for £1400 in august.... 3 owners full service hitory in good nick, not mint but genuine

As matto says 1300 maybe less. Get one with FSH and try and find one private rather than trade.

For a 96 its still high at 1500 but if its a minter and you like it what the hell, haggle the hell out of them over anything you can find however small and if they wont budge just walk away. You will always find another one just as good if not better.

Also, have a look at a few, 5 or more to see what your getting.

I saw a load and some were total crap - rust, a mess inside, no paperwork to them and people were asking ridiculous prices of 2500 and more.

I got my black 3dr 98 Mk3 8V R reg with FSH in excellent nick for 1200. All it needed was a service (120 quid)
