setting on a stobe light

i been an bought a strobe gun today but not sure what to set it to so i can try set up the 8v!
anyone know?!

no need to set it to anything, leave it at 0 degrees and point it down the hole on top of the gearbox, you need the remove the green plug and you'll see this:


The small punch mark is the TDC timing mark, and the big red arrouw is the BTDC ignition timing mark.  Set the dizzy so that the big mark lines up with the arrow on the gearbox housing, paint the marks with tippex to make em easier to see :)

oh could explain a few things.... i had it set to 6 for some reason an i havent lined it to that, theres another notch/line a bit further round.....

how do you change idle speed?!

theres a screw on the throttle body that sets the idle :)
If its a digifant you have to do it in a specific way, which is all detailed in my digifant tuning guide in the maintenance + info section.  If its a K-Jet, just set it with the main beams on (electrical load on alternator basically)
