Its not the size of your subs, its how you use them!!!

Got a single 10" in a posh enclosure, have had in for several years now, and I'm still very, very happy with it, and I guess I would have to hear something pretty special before I made a change.

Not insane by any stretch of the imagination, but it sounds pretty cool to me!

Yep that is true, the best system i had was comprised of an Alpine cd head unit, a 10" rockford sub, and a set of alpine 6.5" components up front with seperate tweeter, the clarity and quality was amazing, and everyone thought i had a big build, its all about quality not quantity. if you wanna stuff 10 subs in the boot then get a Nova, some of the best competition cars run a system with only 3 speakers in them .

I on the other hand prefer the standard vw set up, it is one of the best standardsystems i ever heard, apart from the mk2 fiat puntos which have a standard sub in the boot.

gotta agree with ant on this one, the puntos sound quite good but their sub is a bit like porn girls.... they blow easily. (sorry) :o I still think that vee dubs have always had the best standards! It was researched!

glad its not just me that thinks the mk4 setup is bloody good as standard!!!, ive got a 6 disc sony changer, but the 'gamma' unit has so many other options available, pre out and remote swithching lead, and phone muting etc!!, im getting pre out lead for mine and puting a amp/sub for a little more bass which im going to make quick release so i can swap between the mk2 and mk4 when the need arises!!!

he he i aint buying a setup for both cars just a nice unit as my sons out of his pushchair nolw so a bit of room is freed up in the boot!!! ;D ;D ;D
