Can anyone assist?
I want to buy a standard Gti grill badge for my MK3 8V,
Where's the best place to order - i've looked on VW homepage but no Joy.

you should be able to walk into your local dealers parts dept and get one.
i got my 16v grille badge that way. (i work next to a VW Dealership
)

Used to have a '97 MK3 16v GTI 3dr in 'Black Magic'... now have a '55 Civic Type-S...

i did that mate. Didnt have a badge. went to main dealer. Cost ?6.50 or ?9.50. cant remember which. not expensive and just clips on. Also when its on it can slide in to the position you want (so dont spend half hour trying to get a still hand to put it in the right place as i did only for it to slide when attached).
Not worth mail ordering by the time you pay postage.
Probably the only time its cheaper to buy something at a main dealer than elsewhere!

Its in good condition as well, took me a while to find a good-un
The Subaru and Porsche are mates cars.
The guy that had the subaru now has a MK2 Gti 16v - good lad

Did all mrkiii 16v come with 16v badge on front grill as mine doesn't have one either, nor does it have one on the glove compartment which i've seen on some. 97 N reg 16V
