newboy with some questions
« on: 08 January 2007, 00:55 »
Hello everyone. Just got my first golf gti. 1998 model. I just sold my 5 gt turbo so its a nice change. And much nicer to drive!

I was just wondering tho, I seem to be putting a lot of fuel in it and the gauge doesnt really register it. For example i put a tenner in earlyer and it went up to just under half. I done 20 miles and then it went back to the tip of the red again. Even tho the mpg thing was always at 29--31? when its at the red i get worried incase i run out. but surly it cant be using a tenner in 20 miles. even the reno wasnt that bad! is this normal?

Also how do i get my front and back fog lights on?

anyone

ta

first thing   when you add fuel make sure your ignition is turned off caus if you put fuel in with it on the gauge will not read any extra..Other then that if the computer is saying your going 29mpg I would not worry as that's about right for normal driving..
To turn your foglight's on pull the headlight switch out (it will have 2 pull's with front fog's) 1st front 2nd rear if i remember correct
