OK Guys - seen the Black ED30 in Gilbert Lawton today (Cheshire).
In Black it looks great (even the wheels do it for me).
I have had the current MK5 GTI nearly two years and am not disappointed with the way the new one looks.
Now then, I am nontechnical but I had the bonnet up and wow - all sorts of new big pipes at the front of the engine leading to what I think is the new Turbo (looks like it came off a Euro Fighter
) - looks impressive.
Couldn't start the engine (not allowed indoors but I can hear the growl already).
Two disappointments (very minor) - Red edged Mats are absolutely Naff
And those penny pinching VW Folks have taken away the Aluminum Astray cover and replaced with black plastic (why do they do this stuff)
.
Anyone know if you can get the Aluminum cover elsewhere - it really sets the the center consol/arm rest thingy off
?
Otherwise - looks the business. I have full leather currently and the new seats look great.
Wish Jan and Feb would end quicker
