hey stu, welcome to the forum :)

you can put the 5" in the bottom of the doors by, as blue says, swapping the stoopid door pockets for bits of plastic grill that you can fit speakers to. VW charge a painful 10.19 each for these as I replaced one the other day.

i think the 4" ones you have may fit in the rear either side of the parcel shelf, can't remember tho'

well i dunno bout anybody else but ive been doing sounds in cars for quite sometime now and this is what im gonna do
a 12" sub in the boot (boot build of course)
a stealths shelf but NO!! 6*9's, im gonna have 2* 8" 3way pioneer running bridged off a jl audio multi channel amp, and from the other channels im gonna have two tweeters built into the old spaeker pods in the dash and this will be run at a higher frequency so not to drown the top range from the rear finally im gonna have my 12" sub running at around or below 22hz and have the three ways bass response at or below 100hz.
Its not always what you got its how u set it up but GOODMANS are sh!t e.

anyway ye i will get that conversion what a stupid thing 2 have anyway (pockets)
im going to maybe fit some componets in the dash to replace old ones and fit a capacitor to one of the polarites to act as a high pass filter :-\
think this will be ok?

main reason i love this car if because the ease of self maintaince!!! omg i had a renault 19 16v before  :o i couldnt do much myself!!
