Newbie from Bucks UK
« on: 05 January 2007, 17:06 »
Hello, google Golf GTI forum for advice help and hopefully some fun following recent purchase of a 95 plated MK3 GTI in Black (Colour Code LO41-me hopes hence the username). No stranger to the dub scence forums or cars hoping to find out some info on possible cures for full throttle hesitancy.

Pictures of car = Yes

hello and welcome

try posting a thread in the mark 3 section (if you haven't done so already) about your issue, might get a better response

What a friendly welcome - many thanx and salutations ( or whatever ) back tonight in search of some Mk3 answers following a dissapointing run up the M1 to Northampton tonight. Great night out but misfiring under performing Gti 8v spoilt my mood a bit. Hopefully find some friendly advice and answers over the coming days / weeks etc etc.

As I'm new can someone explain who's who here ( forums normally frequented by regulars me finks ) and give a small background to what's going on in GTI forum land.

My introduction ( warning "pro plus" may be needed )

 AGE SHOE SIZE ETC ETC..
I'm a 36yr old married man with two kiddywinks who has been a house husband for the last two years due to ill health ( I'm not mental honest ;-) )..

WHY AM I A V-DUB NUT ? I spent my youth around Vw's spending weekends in tents at  santa pod, avon park raceway between organising or frequenting naughty warehouse parties etc.

Petrol head wise my first car was a 1977 golf mk1 with a scirocco storm engine which finally was scrapped due to excessive tin rot and "bitten by the popular trend of 1988 then onto a seriously slow and low '68 12v cal look bug which was sold in about 1993 after 5 long years of replacing almost everything to get her straight. If anyone knows of or has pictures of VW Beetle Reg "OXE 613F" I would be a very happy middled aged man.. Other VW's owned included three different scirocco's, an olop ( which gave me the oil warning buzzer from hell noise before blowing an engine ).

In more recent times not sorry to admit I've been a renault man after buying a r5gtt then a clio valver then mr sensible laguna x 2 !!

In web terms I helped to run the renaultforums.co.uk during 2005 and put together some solutions and diy how to's with the aid of the digital camera following my own journey of discovery into just how "fegging" ackward french engineers can be.. Some of these how to's ( however ) have since turned up "for sale" on ebay by others ( that's life why didn't i think of that first - homer )

...and after a good few years running around in a Laguna II euronorm family man car I have ditched it in favour of the Gti and ( hopefully ) a summer of shows and shines and smiles and no oil warning lights.

I hope you survived that non sense and hope to be able to add some of my how to's to the mk3 section of the forums as the months pass by..

Take care - safe driving - thanks so much for the welcome. . .
