New Alternator

i'm looking for a new alternator for my 1990 g reg 8v
i want to get a 90amp one as i may as well get a good one as i have other electrics to run
i was looking at this

would this work? as its for a 1988 1.8?
what cars did the 90amp come on that i can find at the scrappy

What is the amperage of the battery, cos if you've only got a 45ah battery, thats all the alternator will charge to, so in essence you'll have wasted 45ah?! My 16v is running full electrics, with a full stereo system with just a 65amp alternator and a 55ah battery, and they run fine.

i'm not sure i dont think it is so good.
but mine at the moment isn't so good and doesnt charge when the lights are on!
so with the dark mornings the battery is getting worn down.
maybe the alternator is not very good and i should go for a 65amp but at gsf
a 90amp is only about a tenner more so i might as well!
