8V OR 16V

HI everyone, How can you tell your car is 8v engine or 16v part form you tail gate ?because i have not got my v5 yet .

8v aerial on wing...16v aerial on roof

16v has an inlet manifold that say DOHC. (doube overhead cam)

Don't tell us you bought a GTI without knowing whether it was an 8v or 16v ?!!!

As said, just open the bonnet and look at the top of the engine, does it have a large 4 pipe manifold that says DOHC, if so, it's a 16v.

usual position was on the wng on the 8v's, but many many owners bunged a 16v jobby on cause they look less g@y..... im not 100% but maybe the late run out jobbies had a 16v ariel on too??
