wINDOW HAS VANISHED ON ME ARGH!!!!!!!!

done six of these now on various vag group cars
ive found it easier to replace the metal door cover
£65 pound all in from local vw dealers not a hard  job if you know what your
doing

Are you mad, it's piece of piss to do, and the replacement part is only £28 - no need to buy the metal cover.

Ok so where do i get these parts from for 28.00 took it to the mechanic last night and he has temporarily wedged it up for me but he did say the kits cost around 70.00

I had this problem on my 1997 Audi A3. Common fault and annoying. I did not bother with it as I sold it.

Easy fix so I believe.

is you car under 6 years old?? done les than 90K?

if sothen get down your dealer and get them to fix it for free.  had both my front windows done last year.  my car is on a 51 plate

and don't let them fob you off either!!! some will claim not to know about it and even VW customer services are a bit dumb!!

Fair comment about fitting the later kit. Less labour intensive and therefore probably cheaper in the long run.
