mark 3 SRS light reset

Can any one know were is the 16 pin plug is in the car for the reset SRS light.for my mark 3 golf estate?    THANKS.

The ecu reader plug thing on mine is located next to the ashtray...remove the ashtray and slide the panel next to it right and there is the plug...This is where you can interogate the engine ecu, abs ecu and the srs ecu

On a right hand drive its on the left side of the ashtray.

That's assuming it is an obd2 connection (16 pin)...and i believe all airbag golf's had obd2 but if not i think you have a 3 pin conector in the passenger footwell somewhere on obd1... :undecided:

1995 onward for obd2..In 2002 most new vw's came with can-bus wiring although it is obd2 the wiring work's different and need's different to do this..and if your not sure what can bus mean's, It's like having 1 Wire with every other wire coming off this one and if you need to connect any other wires to this you just join it to the main one, unlike how my vw is wired with wires everywhere  :nerd:

1994 mk3 vr6 is an obdI but it comes with an OBDII style port, not sure if its the same for other mk3's..
