i think the pescaras look cool, i would have prefered them in a better colour, ie more metalicy anthracite rather than grey, but hey ho, wheels can soon be changed i guess the rest of the car is what really matters and its

I saw a diamond black ed 30 the other day - the same colour i will have mine in - i think the pescaras looked much better than on a red car.  Now i'm having second thoughts on getting the black monzas! what to do? what do you guys think? :undecided:

I saw a black edition 30 in the VW Wolsey showroom and they do look ok - better than the black monza's would on that colour car. However, I still think the Monza IIs look awesome...  I will be putting silver 19" BBS Air Alloys on - a bit like the BBS CH alloys.  The pescaras will go in a box in the garage.

Finally saw a ED30 in the flesh today.

Went to Parkway Derby, where they have a 3dr Black DSG model.

Next to it is a Blue R32 and opposite side is a Steel Grey GTi.

Well the wheels on the ED30 are way better than the R32 offering, the only thing that made the R32 stand out between the bunch is its colour shame the ED30 was not in this, but the ED30 looked way better than a std GTi, the front lip and colour coded parts, even in black make it look a more price worthy car.

The half leather is great too, and the stiching just nice, really sets off a very black 'Germanic' interior.

Have to say the wheels on the ED30 have really grown on me now, and I can say I have yet o see one photo of the car that does it justice in the flesh. Plus the pesscarras really make it stand out as a special.

Glad I've seen this today as its pretty much the spec we have ordeded too, so roll on March.

What HA54SYM says...I saw the Aberdeen dealer's showroom car today...I was a little worried at some of the comments from other people about the wheels, seats, stitching etc

No need to worry - the Edition 30 looks fantastic in the metal, and I love the Pescara wheels...looked fantastic with the sun glinting off them...I'd forgotten quite how comfortable the GTI seats are as well, so I'm really looking forward to mine arriving now

Some pics...

Interior is spot on...seats are fantastic, and the red stitching isn't garish

jer - very fortunate that your picking your car up in feb!  Make sure you post some pics.

Nice photos there phope.  I agree with you both (phope and HA54SYM) - when i saw the black gti in flesh, the wheels felt spot on; and the changes to the car, although subtle, also look spot on - not ott.  Found some more pics of one in steel grey - looks really slick:

Which style bbs are you putting on the car?

Hi, New Forum member ,recently ordered an E30 in Pearl Black, still undecided about which alloys as although i have been reading with interest everyones comments I still prefeer the Monza 2's or the BBS CH wheels.
Great to see all photos on forum as wont get my E30 until March.
If anyone gets a picture of an E30 with 18" Monzas it would be good to see.

Will be letting my boringly reliable A4 2.5 TDi Sport go after 3 yrs and returning to a GTI.A4 has been a fantastic car but looking forward to my E30.
