Yeaahhhhhhh   apologies to all current 'standard' GTI owners.

hmmm.. how do we go about getting that power through to the tarmac?  I'm not sure whether an LSD will help in stopping wheel spin... 307bhp sounds nice but if you can't use it, whats the point?

No worries Illyun!!

i agree re the use of the power, but i'm not too fussed as i couldn't insure it and wouldn't want to spank the warranty in the first 3 years.

Glad you liked the red font so i thought i would try pink as i am a lady!!! Only ordered car on Saturday and have been told 10 weeks approx from then, my dealer had one in the showroom  which made my mind up on the whole Red/Black/Red/Black issue, Black it had to be it looked beautiful. Agree with you all on the wheels they do the car no justice, much prefer the Monza's

I think you'll have to appoligies to R32 owners as well (once you get going)! Mind you i think you'll be doing that with a standard car :smug: . It will be very tempting once the warranty runs out for a wee mild map - perhaps 270hp might be a nice ballance?

Of course - I wouldn't try a re-map until the warranty has run out

the guys at star performance are running a gti at 280 bhp and similar torque, they say that the traction is fine. exiting roundabouts in a viscous manner makes the front light up but driven well its a brilliant drive.
