Golf GTI mkV - 5dr - leather - 40k - whats it worth?
« on: 29 December 2006, 21:45 »
As it says really.

I am new to the Golf game and I am looking at buying the above.

It is a Jan 05 "54" plate with 40k on the clock and has full service history and is in steel grey.

It has the 17inch alloys but comes with leather and cd changer.

There are not many cars about with this sort of milleage on it so not really sure what it is worth.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Jonathan

It's a uk car and has one owner. It is at a ford dealership at present, the owner chopped it in against a Focus ST.

They have offered me 9.5k to change. I am part exchanging a 52 plate Seat Ibiza 130pd TDI sport with 52k on the clock.

oh dear, the person that chopped the gti in for an ST!! what on earth was he thinking, what a backward step!!!. I agree about £16995, the gti is such a better car. i guess he got a straight swop with ST because a new one is worth about £18000, about the same as a 2nd hand gti!! hehehe. Give it 6 months and he'll be regretting trading it in.    U need shares in esso to run an Focus ST!!!
