Seriously mantamad i was really really skeptical at first everyone said it wud be unbelievable and it will be like a different car, i just didn't think it wud be impossible for it to transform a 100pd into something special and the well the cost was was becoming a issue, however it has been a real turning point.
Ave had it for around 4 months now and i still have the same smile on my face, this chip is unreal, it has totally transformed the car,
I think the fuel consumption has slightly suffered before i used to get about 52mpg driving between 80-85 now its slipped down to around 47-49 at the same speeds, but who cares!
but since the chip i have started driving with a bit more of heavier right foot u just cant help that, still getting 500 odd miles on a full tank and thats 40-60 local miles. if i drive it economically around 60 then yes u do get better than than your standard mpg (factory standard) probably goes up to 55 easy then otherwise i tend to drive it harder now as u r meant to anyway with diesels.
some people say that the 145 figure is a bit of a over exaggeration but others say revo always give there lowest figures, and don't go overboard with expected figures, in any case it certainly drives different its so much quicker through the revs u can really feel 3rd and 4th gear, and then 5th is so smooth ace for overtaking. Hence ave not bothered doing rolling road etc whats the point in ragging the bolls off it as long as you know it drives faster and accelerates better. even if it showed up as 130 on the result i wouldnt be bothered slightest, rolling road depends on ure condition of ure car, how big THERE fans are, maf sensor condition, miles on car etc etc these can all affect the figures. am more of a performance man than figures.
i had gazb convince me it wud be mint he said u wud never look back, got that one right there. nice one gaz. money well spent.
the best thing i like about it is that before everything used to peak off around 3000 revs now it hold up full of force a couple of increments before 3000 revs, so u can rag it to 28000 odd revs and then change and the turbo is still firing to about 3200 so it really holds up nicely, obviously if u rev it past about 3300 revs ure just burning petrol coz the turbos cant breath, if u know what i mean u'll get me, am not that good with technical jargon and issues really rely on you guys for that .
seriously if ure thinking of doing it just do it.
let em know what u think, i think i got to emotionally attached top to your reply ^
