mfa problems...
« on: 28 December 2006, 17:37 »
basically i want to know how to ensure my mfa is wired up!? and need some troubleshooting ideas on how to fix it...

it currently doesnt work (nothin appears on screen altho the screeen lights up with dash lights.) i think the car has had a later dash fitted (clocks are correct to mot)

The car is a 1985 mk1 gti cabriolet,
i can provide more info on request as im not sure what else to add.

if all the lights and rev counter are workings its plugged in the mfa might have just gone, check all your fuses first before ya do anything drastic like removing it to see.

umm did u get the hand book there is a list in there i think but id check them all get a flash light and take a look shouldnt be too hard to spot any blown ones, without knowing more about what clocks are in or if there connected at the back properly cant really tell. you may have to dig around in the dash to get a better picture of whats up or get a set u know work and test em. sorry i couldnt or more help eletrics are a bugger
